Most online Qur’an academies will not tell you who is teaching your child until the lesson starts. We think that is the wrong way round — so every teacher here is named, with their ijāzah, where they studied, and a CV you can download.
I memorised the Qur’an at ten and spent the years after that at Al-Azhar and sitting with shaykhs, text by text. When I began teaching students abroad in 2018, the same thing kept coming up: a family in London or Toronto would sign up with an online academy, pay for a month, and still not know the name of the person on the other end of the call — let alone what he had studied, or who he had studied it with.
That is the wrong way round. A teacher of the Qur’an is not a faceless service. So Islam Tutors was built the other way: every teacher named, every ijāzah listed, every CV downloadable before you book a single lesson. You meet the teacher first, in a free lesson, and you decide.
Our tagline says it — learn Islam upon the path of the Salaf. Here is what that means in practice, in a lesson, rather than as a slogan.
Students read the actual books, line by line, in the order students have always taken them. Summaries are quick and they leave nothing behind.
Nothing is taught as “this is how it is done” alone. The āyah or the ḥadīth comes with it, so you can see where the ruling stands.
Every lesson is one-to-one. It is the only way a teacher hears every letter you mispronounce and every ending you get wrong.
A written report every month: covered, memorised, still weak. If a student is not moving, you will hear it from us before you have to ask.
This is the part that decides everything else. We would rather turn a student away than hand them to a teacher we are not sure of.

You meet the teacher in a free thirty-minute lesson before anything is arranged. No card, no commitment, and no obligation to continue.
If the fit is not right — the pace, the manner, the hour — you say so and we move you to another teacher on the team. No notice period and no awkward conversation.
Every student has a written plan and a monthly report showing what was covered and what is still weak. Progress is measured, not guessed at.

Azhar-trained teacher of the Islamic sciences and a ṭālib ʿilm. Ḥāfiẓ of the Qur’an since the age of ten, with more than six years of formal study at Al-Azhar and continued private study (talaqqī) under distinguished shaykhs, including Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUbayd. Founder of Quraniat Academy in Giza, imām and khaṭīb since 2016, and a teacher of non-Arabic speakers since 2018. Ḥanbalī by specialisation, with an academic grounding in comparative fiqh across all four madhhabs.

Five years teaching Qur’an and tajwīd, three of them with non-Arabic speakers, with particular strength in teaching children and holding their attention.

Our teachers are all in Egypt and are native Arabic speakers; our students are all over the world. Every lesson is online and scheduled in your timezone, not ours.
Both. You can request a female teacher for a daughter, for a sister, or for yourself, and it is arranged without any discussion needed.
Every teacher’s qualification is written on their card above, and you can ask to see it. If a teacher claims an ijāzah, they can show you the chain.
You stop. There is no contract and no notice period, and any hours you have paid for and not used are refunded.
Arabic, yes. Every teacher on the team is a native Arabic speaker, so a lesson can be given wholly in Arabic, wholly in English, or in both while a student finds their feet. Those are the two languages we teach in.
